MultiBlast PRO1200WA Automatic Turntable Wet Blasting Cabinet

Manual blasting cabinets produce a finish that varies with operator technique, and the PRO1200WA is designed to remove that variable. As an automatic wet blasting cabinet, it runs four automatic guns fitted with Ø8 mm boron carbide nozzles, mounted on independently driven oscillating systems, two guns to the side and two overhead. Blast distance and angle are set at commissioning and oscillation speed runs through a variable frequency drive, so once a program is proven on this PLC wet blast machine, every part comes out the same.

The main cabinet is fabricated from 3 mm SUS304 stainless steel with a 3 mm wear-resistant rubber curtain lining, avoiding the rust bleed and static build-up associated with dry blasting. Vapour blasting mixes abrasive, compressed air, and water to suppress airborne dust and produce a finer, more uniform surface finish than dry media on its own. Water is recovered through a rear sedimentation tank and returned by a 4 kW abrasive pump, with a separate 75 W pump handling window cleaning and a 50 mm overflow managing tank level.

As an auto turntable vapour blasting machine, parts are loaded outside the cabinet onto an electric trolley and carried into the chamber, where the Ø700 mm motorised turntable takes over under variable frequency speed control. This wet blast cabinet with turntable is rated to handle workpieces up to Ø635 mm by 310 mm high. Alongside the automatic guns, the operator has a fingertip rinsing gun and a fingertip blow-off gun for finishing and drying, with a pneumatic wiper and twin 38 W defogging fans keeping the front viewing window clear throughout the cycle.

Cycle time, turntable speed, gun oscillation, and gun selection are all set and recalled through the PLC touchscreen, so changeover between parts is a program selection rather than a mechanical set-up exercise.
